Kapuso actor Paolo Contis expressed his delight at ABS-CBN’s noontime show “It’s Showtime” finding a new home in GMA Network. Speaking to “24 Oras,” Paolo conveyed his eagerness to collaborate with the hosts of the show.
“Work is work and I’m very happy na meron silang lugar,” Paolo stated. He further mentioned his friendships with many of the “It’s Showtime” hosts, including Ogie Alcasid, Vice Ganda, and Vhong Navarro, expressing openness to potential collaborations. “Lahat, alam mo kaibigan ko naman sila, kaibigan ko karamihan sa kanila. Si Ogie, si Vice. I’m very close to Vhong, so lahat naman ‘yan very open tayo,” he added.
Previously, Paolo was one of the hosts of “Tahanang Pinakamasaya,” which was replaced by “It’s Showtime” on GMA Network. The announcement came as Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) Inc. officially declared the end of “Tahanang Pinakamasaya.”
“It’s Showtime” had shifted to GTV last July after declining an offer from TV5 for a delayed telecast slot. This move was to make way for a new show hosted by “Eat Bulaga!” mainstays Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon.
The much-awaited move of “It’s Showtime” to GMA Network is scheduled to commence on April 6th.
