The esteemed panelists of The Global Filipino Icon Awards 2023 gathered at the Rove Trade Centre to evaluate the top 12 finalists for this year’s prestigious award.
The event aims to choose the standout personality who will be named the Global Icon during the awarding ceremony on October 28, 2023, at Star Cinemas in Al Ghurair Centre, Deira.
This year’s distinguished panellists include:
- Engr. Lilac Schonberg, a renowned mechatronic robotics engineer.
- Mr. Geoffrey Salatan, the mastermind behind Geoffrey Travel.
- Mr. Josh Vasquez, the Regional Sales Head of Philippine Airlines.
- Mr. Dandin De Vera, a leading global marketing strategist.
- Mrs. Malou Q. Prado and Mr. Robert Prado, Filipino entrepreneurs and owners of MPQ Travel & Tourism in the US and Dubai as well as MPQ Travel & Tours in the Philippines
Of the panelists, only Mr. Geoffrey Salatan and Mr. Dandin De Vera were able to attend in person. The remaining members of the panel participated in the evaluation process virtually.
The 12 outstanding finalists, singled out from over 200 feature stories published in the past year, have showcased their exceptional achievements, leadership, and influence within and outside the Filipino community.
Last year, the accolade was awarded to Mrs. Malou for her exemplary achievements in the travel and tourism industry and her impact in the community.
