Actress and TV host Pokwang has taken to social media to demand child support from her former partner, American actor Lee O’Brian, for their six-year-old daughter, Malia.
Pokwang’s call for financial support was made via Instagram comments on a video by Atty. Bernice Piñol-Rodriguez, highlighting the rights of single mothers to seek financial assistance from estranged partners, even when the child is over 18 years old.
Expressing gratitude to the attorney, Pokwang wrote, “Grabe, thank you [attorney]. Napakalaking tulong (This means a lot). God bless you po.”
A week later, Pokwang returned to the same post, directly addressing O’Brian, “Hoy, [Lee O’Brian], ano na? Panay lang party at golf kasama ng mga pokpok? Mag-support ka hoy!”
O’Brian, who had been in a relationship with Pokwang for about six years before their separation in July 2022, has not publicly responded to her demands.
The comedian previously filed a deportation complaint and visa cancellation against O’Brian in June 2023, alleging his misuse of a tourist visa despite residing in the country for eight years. Despite O’Brian’s counter-affidavit, the Bureau of Immigration ruled in December for his deportation.
However, despite their legal disputes, Pokwang allowed O’Brian to spend time with their daughter in December, citing Malia’s happiness as her priority.
