Palace says Marcos open to Duterte’s suggestions if they benefit the public

Malacañang on Thursday assured that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. remains receptive to Vice President Sara Duterte’s input—so long as it serves the public good.

The statement came after the Office of the Vice President expressed concern over Duterte being allegedly excluded from key discussions, calling it a “disservice” to the Filipino people.

Speaking at a Palace press briefing, Presidential Communications Office Press Officer Claire Castro addressed the issue, clarifying that the administration welcomes productive input from Duterte.

“On the part of the Palace, we welcome any relevant suggestion, any good suggestion that comes from the OVP,” Castro said. She emphasized, “The President is not closing the door for the vice president. All relevant suggestions are welcome if they will help the people.”
