Philippine Airlines is expanding its Pacific footprint with the introduction of direct flights between Manila and Palau’s capital, Koror, beginning March 29, 2026. The carrier confirmed that the new service will operate twice a week, adding another island destination to its regional network.
The announcement places Koror—long regarded as the primary gateway to Palau’s renowned marine wonders—within closer reach of Filipino and international travelers. The Micronesian nation is widely admired for its clear lagoons, diverse coral reefs and popular dive sites, making it a favored destination among adventure seekers.
PAL president Richard Nuttall said the airline expects strong interest from leisure travelers drawn to the island’s coastal attractions. “Creating flights to this Pacific island will stimulate tourism travel among beach lovers and the diving community. Travelers can expect world-class service on board their flights combined with Philippine Airlines’ renowned Filipino heartfelt care,” he said.
The flag carrier noted that adding Palau to its map strengthens its strategy of developing routes that “deliver unique experiences and drive tourism growth.”
