Philippine Airlines has pushed back the resumption of its Manila-Dubai and Manila-Doha services to no earlier than May 2026, with the carrier citing ongoing security conditions across parts of the Middle East as the reason for the continued grounding.
The suspension, now running until April 30, covers flights PR 658/659 on the Manila-Dubai-Manila route and PR 684/685 between Manila and Doha. A separate cancellation has been issued for PR 685, the Doha-Manila leg, on May 1 — extending the disruption by one additional day beyond the primary window.
“The safety of our passengers, crew, and aircraft remains Philippine Airlines’ highest priority,” the airline said in Advisory No. 15, released at noon on March 20. “Given the current environment, PAL has determined that temporarily suspending these services is the most prudent course of action while conditions remain fluid.”
Cargo operations on both routes are also affected. PAL said it is working with logistics partners to identify alternative routing for essential goods where possible.
Passengers holding tickets on suspended flights may rebook at no charge once services resume, convert their tickets to travel credits, or apply for a full refund under applicable fare rules. The airline said its customer service teams are available through its website, contact center, and ticket offices.
PAL acknowledged that many travelers on these routes are Overseas Filipino Workers who depend on the flights to move between their workplaces and families. The airline said it continues to monitor the situation in coordination with aviation authorities and relevant stakeholders.
