A PAL Express flight from Cebu overshot the runway at Bacolod-Silay Airport on Friday morning, but all passengers and crew were unharmed, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) confirmed.
The incident occurred at around 5:30 a.m. when flight 2P-2285 experienced a “minor runway excursion” while landing on Runway 03. CAAP attributed the incident to heavy rainfall, which significantly reduced the aircraft’s braking efficiency.
Authorities and airport personnel quickly responded, ensuring the safety of everyone on board. No injuries were reported, and the situation was managed without further complications.
