PAL boosts Cebu flights, adds more trips to top local destinations

Philippine Airlines (PAL) is opening a fresh domestic route as it strengthens Cebu’s role as a hub for the Visayas and Mindanao. Starting October 26, PAL will begin flying from Cebu to Calbayog in Eastern Samar, with four weekly flights every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

The flag carrier also announced more flights from Cebu to popular tourist spots. Travelers bound for Siargao and Busuanga (Coron) will soon enjoy three daily flights each. Other destinations are also getting additional frequencies: Cebu-Bacolod will increase to 18 flights weekly, Cebu-Butuan to 11, Cebu-Cotabato to 3, Cebu-Ozamiz to 4, and Cebu-Tacloban to 14.

PAL said the move is part of its commitment to expand connectivity and make Cebu a “true gateway” to the country’s central and southern regions.

Meanwhile, AirAsia is enticing passengers with limited-time base fares starting at just ₱118. Flyers can book Cebu-Caticlan flights at ₱118, Cebu-Iloilo at ₱188, and Cebu-Davao at ₱228. The booking period runs until September 28, with travel dates valid from November 15, 2025, to March 28, 2026.

The budget airline explained that the promo is designed to help Filipinos secure affordable tickets ahead of the holiday peak season.
