Pakistan Association Dubai sets Guinness World Record with largest handprinted UAE flag

In a vibrant celebration of community and unity, the Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD) has officially entered the Guinness World Records by creating the world’s largest handprinted UAE flag—featuring 24,514 prints from individuals representing over 100 nationalities.

The achievement, realized in collaboration with Emirates Loves and artist Rubab Zahra, was unveiled at the Pakistan Auditorium on Thursday during a special ceremony attended by over 250 guests. A Guinness World Records adjudicator confirmed the record, with notable guests including Pakistani Ambassador to the UAE Faisal Niaz Tirmizi and Consul General Hussain Muhammad in attendance.

“The UAE has grown leaps and bounds over the years, becoming a beacon of tolerance and innovation,” Ambassador Tirmizi remarked, commending the initiative as “a wonderful tribute to that spirit.”

The monumental flag is the centerpiece of PAD’s ‘Hands of Unity’ campaign, launched in support of the UAE’s Year of Community. Over a month, thousands of participants across 23 schools, 39 public spaces, and various communities joined hands—literally—to contribute to the record-breaking effort.

PAD President Dr. Faisal Ikram called the project “a token of love and appreciation to the UAE, our second home,” adding that it demonstrated the power of unity and shared purpose.

The campaign culminated with a touching video that traced the collective journey—from school outreaches to community drives—and honored contributors with certificates of appreciation.

Reflecting on the experience, PAD Joint Secretary Khalid Imtiaz said, “Witnessing such a diverse group come together with enthusiasm and purpose was truly inspiring.”
