OWWA warns public against fake accounts posing as agency chief

The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) has issued a warning to the public about fraudulent social media accounts impersonating OWWA Administrator Patricia Yvonne Caunan.

The agency urged the public to avoid engaging with suspicious pages or profiles claiming to represent OWWA officials. It reminded Filipinos to rely only on verified channels when seeking information on programs, services, and official announcements.

OWWA reiterated that the official OWWA Facebook page remains the only trusted source for accurate and updated information.

For those needing assistance, the agency highlighted that its Hotline 1348 is operational 24/7 for calls from Metro Manila, the provinces, and overseas. Filipinos may also visit the nearest OWWA Regional Office or use the Kumusta Kabayan app for immediate support.
