The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) has teased the upcoming launch of the OWWA Cup, a new sports initiative set to debut during the Alagang OWWA Serbisyo Caravan in Bahrain.
In a social media post, OWWA announced that the OWWA Cup will form part of the caravan’s first-ever staging, positioning sports as a platform to promote unity, camaraderie, and active participation among Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs). The activity is designed to strengthen community ties while complementing the delivery of OWWA’s frontline services.
The OWWA Cup will be held from January 29 to 31 at Oasis Mall in Juffair, Bahrain, alongside the rollout of key OWWA programs and assistance for OFWs. OWWA encouraged Filipinos in Bahrain to take part in the event and pre-register through the agency’s official portal as the countdown to the caravan begins.
