OWWA holds bookkeeping and accounting training for OFW families in Cebu

The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Region 7 has rolled out a training program on Simple Bookkeeping and Basic Accounting for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families in Cebu.

The session, conducted on Friday, August 15, in the towns of Madridejos and Bantayan, gathered around 50 participants from the OFW Family Circles (OFCs). The training served as part of OWWA’s reintegration assistance, aimed at supporting OFWs even after they return home.

Participants were taught the fundamentals of recording transactions, monitoring expenses, reconciling accounts, and preparing basic financial statements. Hands-on workshops were also included to ensure practical application of the lessons.
