OWWA gives thanks to longtime workers and retirees who served OFWs

The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) paid tribute to its most dedicated personnel during the Loyalty and Service Awards Ceremony held on May 23, honoring employees who have served the agency for 10 to 40 years, along with newly retired staff whose lifelong commitment has helped shape the lives of countless OFWs.

The event, more than just a recognition program, underscored the deep gratitude of OWWA toward the people behind its enduring mission.

Administrator Arnel “PY” Caunan, in his speech, emphasized a renewed vision for the agency—one that not only responds in times of need but also uplifts Filipino migrant workers toward lasting success.

“This new phase we are moving towards, we want OWWA to be seen, not just the hope for assistance but the hope for the success of our migrant workers,” Caunan declared, drawing heartfelt applause from the audience.

The ceremony was attended by key officials including DMW Undersecretary Felicitas Bay, OWWA Deputy Administrators Atty. Mary Melanie Quiño and Ryan Vincent Uy, former DOLE Secretary Marianito Roque, members of the OWWA Board of Trustees, and representatives from partner agencies.
