OWWA expands eCard benefits with over 100 private sector partners

The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) has broadened the reach of its eCard program, now backed by nearly 100 private sector companies offering perks and services for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families.

Launched under the initiative “Alagang OWWA: Serbisyong May Puso,” the program was officially unveiled on September 25 at The Podium. The event featured a ceremonial signing of a Pledge of Support, which included not only current partners but also prospective companies expressing intent to collaborate with OWWA soon.

Exhibit booths from companies such as Wilcon, Waltermart, BDO Life, BDO, PLDT Global, Global Comfort Group Corp, Philippine Airlines, Biocare, Alphasure Solutions Inc., LoveYourself, 2Go Group Inc., and The Bellevue Hotel & Resorts provided on-site services to around 70 OFWs, including free check-ups, consultations, and other exclusive offers.

In her remarks, OWWA Administrator Patricia Yvonne Caunan highlighted the importance of the private sector’s role in supporting Filipino workers. “I am pleased to share that OWWA now has more than 100 private sector partners, both here in the Philippines and abroad. But beyond discounts and promotions, our private sector partners are also becoming strategic allies in reintegration, upskilling, and livelihood programs. They are extending not only their resources but also their expertise to support our members,” she said.

The program’s reach extends beyond the Philippines, with eCard partner establishments in Singapore, Japan, Korea, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE offering discounts and privileges.
