Own a superyacht? Abu Dhabi now offers Golden Visa for luxury yacht owners

Abu Dhabi has unveiled a groundbreaking initiative to offer Golden Visas to superyacht owners as part of its efforts to attract high-net-worth individuals and boost investment in the capital, Khaleej Times reported.

Dubbed the ‘Golden Quay,’ the program is spearheaded by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) and Yas Marina, managed by Yas Asset Management, a subsidiary of Miral.

The initiative enables eligible yacht owners to apply for a 10-year UAE Golden Visa, granting them long-term residency and exclusive access to Abu Dhabi’s investment prospects. It also aligns with the emirate’s Tourism Strategy 2030, which aims to position Abu Dhabi as a premier destination for luxury tourism and lifestyle.

Private yacht owners with vessels measuring 40 meters or more, as well as industry leaders such as CEOs, shareholders of yacht-building companies, central yacht agents, and yacht service providers, are eligible. Immediate family members of nominees can also be included.

Yas Marina and ADIO will serve as the official entities nominating candidates for the prestigious residency visa.
