The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai has announced that the self-enrollment period for online voting in the 2025 Philippine elections has been extended until May 12, 2025, at 8:00 AM UAE time. This extension provides overseas Filipinos in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with additional time to complete their enrollment and secure their right to vote.
The extension was confirmed through a social media post by the Consulate, emphasizing that those who encounter difficulties with the enrollment process can visit the Consulate on May 10 and 11 from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM for assistance. This extension aims to accommodate more eligible voters who may still need to complete the online enrollment.
Eligible overseas Filipinos can enroll online by visiting https://ov.comelec.gov.ph/enroll, where they can complete the self-enrollment process. Once enrolled, they can cast their votes online at https://ov.comelec.gov.ph/vote until May 12, 2025, at 3:00 PM UAE time.
Filipino celebrities and influencers, including Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach, basketball star Thirdy Ravena, and Miss Universe Philippines 2025 candidate Rechel Hoco, have also been actively encouraging Filipinos in the UAE to take part in the upcoming elections through a series of Reels shared by the Consulate and the Embassy.
Consul General Marford M. Angeles continues to emphasize the importance of voter participation, urging registered Filipinos in the UAE to seize this final opportunity to enroll and vote. “Huwag palampasin ang pagkakataong makilahok sa pagbabago. Bumoto at maging bahagi ng kinabukasan ng ating bansa,” Angeles said.
