More than 500 residents in Abu Dhabi laced up their sneakers and donned pink tutus for the Tutu Walk & Zumba held on October 18, 2025, at the Public Square of WTC Mall. The lively event formed part of the UAE’s month-long Breast Cancer Awareness campaign, drawing participants of all ages who came together in a powerful display of solidarity, hope, and commitment to women’s health.

Organized with the support of UAS Group and several community partners including LLH Hospital, Sunup Talented Children Development Center, QAT Blended Learning Education ME, and QIWI Group, among others, the morning began with free medical check-ups — including mammogram, eye, dental, cholesterol, sugar, and blood pressure tests — at LLH Hospital from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. Participants then gathered for the vibrant walk and Zumba session from 10:00 a.m. to noon, turning the heart of Abu Dhabi into a sea of pink and energy.
Sebamed and Kanto Wagyu Restaurant also supported and sponsored the event, further strengthening the community-driven effort to promote breast cancer awareness and encourage proactive health screening among residents.
The UAE government has long emphasized breast cancer prevention through a nationwide, multi-layered strategy focusing on awareness, early detection, and accessible care. The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) continues to standardize breast cancer screening and diagnosis through national guidelines while leading major annual campaigns, including Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Pink Caravan mobile clinic, which provides free screenings for women aged 40 and above.

With survival rates exceeding 95 percent for early-detected cases, events like the Tutu Walk & Zumba reinforce a vital message: prevention and awareness save lives.
