More than 35,000 cyclists took over the iconic Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai for the fourth edition of Dubai Ride 2023. The event, held on November 12, transformed the bustling highway into a massive cycling track, making it the largest community cycling event in the region.
Participants, including professional cyclists and biking enthusiasts, covered a combined distance of over 546,000 km. The route offered a breathtaking view of Dubai’s landmarks, stretching from Sheikh Zayed Road to Downtown Dubai. This year’s event, presented by DP World, was a part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) and aligned with the vision of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to make Dubai one of the world’s most active cities.

Emphasizing inclusivity, the Dubai Ride featured two routes: a 12km stretch along Sheikh Zayed Road and a 4km Downtown family course. Landmarks like the Museum of the Future, Dubai Water Canal, and the Burj Khalifa provided a picturesque backdrop for the riders.
Adding to the excitement, the Dubai Police showcased their fleet of supercars, and cyclists showcased their creativity by decorating their bikes at a dressing-up station on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard. These activities created a vibrant and festive atmosphere, particularly on the family-friendly Downtown route.
