More than 230 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in Kuwait have completed various livelihood and skills training programs organized by the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) from January to April 18, 2025.
The initiative, led by Welfare Officers Genevieve Aguilar-Ardiente and Emmanuel Santiago Diaz, and supported by Labor Attaché Atty. Manuel Dimaano, offered hands-on training in basic perfume making, bread and pastry production, nail spa services, Belgian chocolate making, and scented candle crafting.
“These trainings are part of our continued efforts to empower OFWs with practical skills they can use for livelihood when they return home,” said the welfare office in a Facebook post.
OWWA also expressed gratitude to the volunteer trainers who generously shared their time and expertise to make the sessions possible.
