Over 2,000 taxi drivers in Dubai recognized for honesty and exceptional service

More than 2,000 taxi drivers in Dubai have been commended by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) for going the extra mile in providing top-notch service, cleanliness, and integrity on the road.

A total of 2,172 drivers were honored under the RTA’s “Road Ambassadors” initiative, which acknowledges drivers who strictly follow rules, maintain personal and vehicle cleanliness, and go out of their way to return lost belongings to passengers.

Ahmed Bahrozyan, CEO of the Public Transport Agency at RTA, said the recognition program “covered 2,172 drivers in 2024 and up to the first half of this year.” He emphasized that the initiative has encouraged healthy competition among drivers, boosted customer satisfaction, and contributed to improving the overall quality of life in Dubai. “It has helped elevate the overall quality of life across the emirate by providing a safer, more comfortable travel experience and promoting greater traffic safety and awareness,” he said.

Honored drivers expressed their joy and gratitude for the recognition, calling it a proud moment in their careers. The RTA hopes the move will inspire others in the transport sector to maintain high service standards across the city.
