The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (Mohre) has identified 1,818 private companies employing 2,784 UAE citizens illegally from mid-2022 until September 17, 2024. These establishments were found guilty of violating Emiratisation laws, attempting to manipulate localisation targets through fictitious practices.
The companies face fines ranging from Dh20,000 to Dh500,000 and will be referred to Public Prosecution. Additionally, they have been downgraded to the lowest classification in MoHRE’s system and are required to meet genuine Emiratisation targets, along with paying the necessary financial contributions.
UAE nationals involved in these violations will lose their Nafis benefits and other financial support. MoHRE urged the public to report violations through its call centre or smart app, warning it would continue to tackle illegal practices related to Emiratisation.
