Over 1,200 OFWs in Abu Dhabi get more than 6,000 government services in two-day caravan

More than 1,230 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) benefitted from a wide range of essential government services during the Bagong Bayani ng Mundo: OFW Serbisyo Caravan, held in Abu Dhabi on November 8–9, where more than 6,059 transactions were completed onsite.

Undersecretary Jainal T. Rasul Jr. reported the figures to DMW Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac, emphasizing the scale and efficiency of the two-day initiative. He also extended appreciation to the Migrant Workers Office Abu Dhabi, OWWA Abu Dhabi, and Filipino community volunteers for helping ensure smooth operations.

“I especially thank His Excellency Ambassador Alfonso A. Ver of the Philippine Embassy to the United Arab Emirates for his hands-on and active leadership to make the Caravan a huge success,” Undersecretary Rasul said.

Multiple agencies participated in the Abu Dhabi leg, including OWWA, DSWD, the DMW National Reintegration Center for OFWs, SSS, PSA, LandBank, Pag-IBIG Fund, PhilHealth, and BPI.

The caravan provided onsite assistance in areas such as contract verification, welfare consultations, document processing, membership services, and account applications—allowing OFWs to access multiple forms of support in one venue.
