A building collapse in Bahrain has left one person dead and four others injured, according to the Bahrain News Agency (BNA).
Authorities believe the collapse, which occurred Wednesday night in the Arad area of Muharraq governorate, was triggered by a gas explosion. Civil defence teams rescued two Asian nationals from the debris and worked alongside other Interior Ministry departments to secure the area and manage traffic.
The building housed both residential apartments and commercial shops. In response to the incident, seven civil defence vehicles and 38 rescue personnel were deployed to the site, while the National Ambulance service transported the injured to the hospital.
Photos released by BNA showed civil defence workers clearing debris, with a damaged car visible among the wreckage. The building owner has been summoned for questioning as authorities continue their investigation to determine the exact cause of the collapse and implement safety measures to prevent similar incidents.
