The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) has expanded its signature coffee service for overseas Filipino workers with the opening of the 24th Migrant’s Brew station, launched on November 13 at the OFW Hospital in Pampanga. The initiative, described as a symbolic space for rest and connection, offers free coffee to OFWs and their families as they process documents or seek medical care.
DMW Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac and OWWA Administrator Patricia Yvonne Caunan led the ribbon-cutting ceremony, joined by officials from the OFW Hospital and OWWA Region 3. The program continues OWWA’s effort to provide a warmer and more humane client experience across its offices nationwide.
Migrant’s Brew—earlier highlighted by OWWA as a hospitality gesture meant to make government service “pang-world-class”—has been rolled out steadily in regional and satellite offices. It has been featured in locations such as OWWA Central and the Bicol Naga Satellite Office, where clients are welcomed with coffee while completing their transactions. A procurement file dated July 29, 2025 also shows the initiative’s formalization through supply contracts, signaling that the service is designed for long-term implementation.
The newest installation inside the OFW Hospital serves as a dedicated nook for OFWs, their dependents, and attending personnel. OWWA described the space as “isang symbolic space ng pahinga at koneksyon,” emphasizing its role as a light, friendly corner where migrant workers, families, and government staff can interact in a relaxed atmosphere while receiving public service.
