Filipinos in the UAE opting for the newly launched Online Optional Employment Contract Verification System must pay a convenience fee of AED 21.50 to proceed with their applications, according to the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
The fee, payable via Visa, Mastercard, or American Express, is part of the initial steps in accessing the fully digital system launched in partnership with DataFlow Group. This online platform allows Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) to verify their employment contracts and eventually secure their Overseas Employment Certificates (OECs) without needing to visit the MWO in person.
Applicants are only allowed to move to the next step after successful payment. Once paid, they must complete the eKYC (electronic Know-Your-Customer) process, which involves uploading a valid ID (passport or Emirates ID) and taking a short video selfie. The application is not considered complete until this step is done.
After this, the contract verification will be processed within three working days. Once approved, the applicant will be asked to pay an additional AED 40.00 verification fee to download their Verified Contract Report, after which their OEC will be available within 24 hours at portal.dmw.gov.ph.
The MWO reminds users to submit only one application to avoid delays and duplication errors. Applicants can track their status via the dashboard on the online portal at dmw.dataflowgroup.com. A detailed step-by-step guide and document checklist are also available at www.mwodubai.org/faq-online-verification.
As of now, the platform accepts only 200 successful applications per day, with the submission window opening every Monday to Friday at 8:00 AM. The daily quota closes either upon reaching the limit or at 11:59 PM, whichever comes first.
