A tragic accident in Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental, has resulted in the death of a two-year-old boy named Cody Ryan Balili. The incident occurred when the child’s father was preparing milk for him and had just boiled water.
According to reports, Cody’s father poured the hot water into a container and placed it on a table. Moments later, the boy, in an attempt to reach for the container, accidentally doused himself with the boiling water. His father was alerted by Cody’s sudden cries.
Cody’s grandmother recounted the heart-wrenching event, explaining that the father was unaware that the boy could reach the container. Despite immediate efforts to assist Cody, the injuries proved fatal.
Adding to the family’s sorrow, Cody’s mother, who recently started working abroad, may not be able to attend her son’s funeral due to her new job commitments.
