Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) residing in Dubai and the Northern Emirates are advised to secure an E-Registration Number (ERN) before registering on the new DMW App to obtain the OFW Pass. The pass is set to replace the traditional Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC).
“The ERN can be obtained or generated using the DMW e-Registration System. Therefore, a worker must be registered there first before they can acquire the OFW Pass through the DMW Mobile App,” noted the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) in an advisory sent to The Global Filipino Magazine.
The DMW e-Registration system can be accessed at onlineservices.dmw.gov.ph.
MWO Dubai emphasized that an OFW can register on the DMW e-Registration System even if they have not verified their contract, as long as they possess a valid employment visa.
OFWs are also reminded that they can only register once in the system.
“Creating multiple accounts will delay the processing of your record,” added MWO.
If an OFW has successfully registered and obtained an ERN, they can now register on the DMW Mobile App.
“If you have verified your contract, wait for 24 to 72 hours, or one to three days, for MWO to encode or input your information into the system,” it added.
“Within the aforementioned timeframe, you will see that the red mark on your OFW Pass in the DMW Mobile App will turn green, signaling that your OFW Pass is now valid.”
MWO Dubai clarified that the DMW Mobile App and the OFW Pass are currently in a pilot test run and that further advisories will be issued.
