Forty-five overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) along with 3 children, all evacuating from Israel following attacks by Hamas in early October last year, were warmly received at the Abu Dhabi International Airport.
The group, heading to Manila, was met by officials from the Migrant Workers Office Abu Dhabi (MWO-Abu Dhabi) including Assistant Labor Attaché Vicente Magsaysay and Welfare Officer Romyn Asuit.
They were also greeted by Philippine Embassy Protocol Officer Vince Echavez and Assistance to Nationals Officer Irish Jo.
This initiative comes in response to the violence that has displaced numerous workers in the region. The repatriated individuals are scheduled to arrive at the NAIA Terminal 3 later this afternoon, Thursday, 04 April 2024
