Marjorette Garcia, an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) was found dead with multiple stab wounds in Saudi Arabia. According to a GMA News report, Garcia’s family remains in the dark about the circumstances surrounding her death.
Garcia last communicated with her family on September 15, 2023. Tito Garcia Jr., Marjorette’s husband, expressed his grief, saying, “We hope her remains can be sent home soon, and we seek justice for what happened to her. We still don’t know why she was killed.”
The grieving family is currently working with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) to repatriate Garcia’s remains. Jennifer Dellosa, an officer from OWWA-1 Post Arrival Repatriation Unit, stated that the case, believed to be a murder, will undergo a thorough investigation.
OWWA has committed to covering the family’s travel expenses to Metro Manila to retrieve Garcia’s body once it arrives in the Philippines. The family continues to seek answers and justice for Garcia’s tragic death.
