A 49-year-old woman was killed after being stabbed by her live-in partner in their home in Sampaloc, Quezon, according to authorities this Sunday.
The fatal altercation occurred around 3:30 a.m. last Friday in their Barangay San Isidro residence, where the couple reportedly engaged in a heated argument.
In the midst of the argument, the 53-year-old man seized a knife and allegedly stabbed the victim several times. The suspect fled immediately after the incident, prompting an ongoing police manhunt. He is currently facing murder charges.
In a social media post, the victim’s child expressed their sorrow over the tragic event.
The victim, an overseas Filipino worker, was preparing to leave this Saturday to work abroad again, aiming to support the education of her seven children.
The child wrote, “[Pasensiya] na mama, ‘di ka namin naabutan kanina… Kayo pa naman ‘yong natulong sa’min mga gawain, mama. ‘Yong pinapangarap niyo po sa’min, aabutin namin,” expressing a commitment to fulfilling their mother’s dreams for them despite the tragic loss.
