BFS Healthcare proudly partnered with the Filipino Nurses Association UK (FNAUK) to host the successful 1st Career Development Conference in Northern Ireland on November 2, 2024, at Clayton Hotel Belfast. Spearheaded by Roy Galit, whose exceptional leadership and dedication ensured the event’s success, the conference gathered healthcare professionals from various backgrounds, including Healthcare Assistants, Nurses, and Managers from diverse multicultural communities, making it a truly inclusive event. Roy’s meticulous planning and dedication, along with the invaluable guidance of Jose Ariel, President of FNAUK, were pivotal in making this event a landmark occasion.
The conference featured insightful sessions from esteemed speakers such as Dr. Paul John Alegado, who discussed “Navigating the UK Higher Education Landscape as Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs)” and “Effective Communication,” Jonah Yap Atos, who presented on and “Leadership & Management,” Josette Fernandez, who shared her expertise on leadership and management. Additionally, the “Interview Skills Workshop” led by Jose Ariel Lanada provided valuable skills and practical advice for attendees seeking career growth.
The presence of Deputy Chief Nursing Officer for Northern Ireland, Katy Rennick, underscored the event’s significance, while inspiring messages from Imelda, Marigold, and Russel resonated deeply with attendees. The Northern Ireland Practice and Education Council (NIPEC) Project Board for Ethnic Diversity also contributed to the event, reinforcing a shared commitment to inclusivity in healthcare.
