Nol cards will soon be accepted for travel on Etihad Rail passenger trains traversing the UAE. This announcement follows the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and Etihad Rail, the entity responsible for developing and operating the UAE’s national railway network.
The agreement, formalized on the sidelines of the World Governments Summit, signifies the initial step in a collaborative effort between the RTA and Etihad Rail to introduce convenient ticket booking and fare payment solutions utilizing the Nol system.
The Nol card, already widely used for paying transportation fares across Dubai’s public transport networks and parking fees at RTA parking zones, will now serve as a seamless payment method for passengers traveling on the pan-UAE railway network.
Additionally, the card’s versatility extends to facilitating entry to various attractions and making purchases at select retail stores.
