Thousands of UAE fans were left disheartened after failing to secure Coldplay tickets during yesterday’s presale event on Ticketmaster. With as many as 300,000 fans queuing up for the January 11, 2025, concert at Zayed Sports City Stadium in Abu Dhabi, many found themselves stuck in long queues starting as early as 11 a.m., with some waiting behind more than 200,000 people.
Due to the overwhelming demand, Live Nation Middle East has added two additional shows on January 12 and January 14. However, frustration was widespread as fans shared their experiences of being unable to buy tickets even after hours in the virtual queue.
Ramon Francisco Sonico lamented, “Naka pasok nga d naman maka pili ng ticket,” while Jan Cusi expressed, “When its my turn, nagrefresh to general sales link for Sept 27. Why naman ganon Ticketmaster 🫠.” Others like Harry Diolazo saw their chances fade in front of them, stating, “Sabi kanina it’s your turn tapos nawala haha.”
For many fans, the excitement turned into disappointment. Stephanie Oliveros shared, “Nakakapasok po ba kayo sa queue ng second day at third day? Kasi naka’pasok ako kanina tapos biglang nagrefresh tapos napunta sa general sale raw sa 27th,” capturing the confusion faced by many.
With the general ticket sale starting tomorrow, September 26, 2024, at 12 noon for all three shows, fans are holding onto hope for another chance to see the iconic British band live in Abu Dhabi.
Coldplay is returning to the UAE as part of their Music of the Spheres World Tour with three performances, offering fans a visually stunning show and a chance to experience their biggest hits and latest tracks.
