Dubai-based airline flydubai announced a major enhancement to its Economy Class experience, confirming that all fares will soon include complimentary meals and inflight entertainment starting November 2025.
The move marks a significant step in the airline’s long-term investment in improving passenger comfort and value, aligning with its commitment to innovation and customer-centric service.
Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer of flydubai, said the update represents a key shift in the carrier’s approach to air travel. “Redefining the Economy Class offering across all flights represents a significant evolution in our business model, offering customers a more elevated and convenient travel journey,” he said. “Our focus remains on investing in enhancing our customer experience and delivering added value across every touchpoint through services, technologies and product development.”
The decision follows years of investment in customer-focused improvements, including the launch of a dedicated Business Class check-in area and a premium lounge at Dubai International Airport’s Terminal 2.
Hamad Obaidalla, Chief Commercial Officer at flydubai, highlighted that the change comes at a time of expansion. “By including meals and inflight entertainment in every ticket, we’re modifying the Economy Class fare structure and ensuring passengers get more value, while remaining competitive,” he said.
Passengers can look forward to an immersive inflight entertainment system offering over 1,000 movie titles, TV shows, podcasts, and games in multiple languages. The onboard dining experience will feature regional menus inspired by flydubai’s global destinations, with dishes from African, Indian, Middle Eastern, European, Russian, and Southeast Asian cuisines.
The airline’s modernization efforts continue, with nine new Boeing 737 aircraft already delivered this year—bringing its fleet to 95—and three more expected before the end of 2025. flydubai is also preparing for the arrival of its Boeing 787 Dreamliners from 2027, which will further expand its long-haul reach and capacity.
