The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) has confirmed that no Filipinos were injured in the building collapse that occurred in central Jeddah last Friday.
The DMW’s Migrant Workers’ Office (MWO) in Jeddah reported to Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac that they have visited the site and several nearby hospitals to verify if any Filipinos were affected.
According to media reports in Saudi Arabia, at least eight individuals were rescued from the rubble of the collapsed structure. The accident damaged 13 apartments across five floors in the Al-Faisaliah district.
The MWO-Jeddah assured that they will continue to monitor the situation closely and maintain communication with Jeddah police, medical, and emergency services to ensure the ongoing safety of Filipinos in the area.
