Couple Nikki Gil and BJ Albert marked their eighth wedding anniversary this Tuesday. The former actress took to Instagram to express her joy, sharing heartfelt photos and a message to her husband.
In her post, Gil wrote, “8. Happy Anniversary @bj_albert. Will always be grateful to God that I get to do life with you! Looking forward to annoying our future teenagers with our PDA. Love you!”
The couple, who met as schoolmates at the Ateneo de Manila University, tied the knot in November 2015 at the Sta. Elena Golf and Country Club in Laguna. Their journey to marriage began after a mutual friend set them up in late 2013. This was shortly after Gil’s split from television host Billy Crawford.
Nikki, also known for her theater work, has always spoken highly of her husband, describing him as “a man of God” and a “people person.” The couple is now blessed with two children, Finn and Maddie.
In recent years, Gil stepped away from the limelight to focus on her family, stating that she does not miss her acting career much and is content with her life as a mother. She shared in an interview that becoming a mom has made her more conscious of time and less inclined to return to showbiz, preferring to spend time with her family.
