Abu Dhabi Mobility (AD Mobility) announced that the Mawaqif service will be activated, with all necessary infrastructure and signage already in place. This initiative aims to reduce illegal parking and enhance safety and security in the city.
To keep the public informed, AD Mobility has been distributing brochures explaining the new parking system to residents and businesses. Mawaqif, a government entity, manages and organizes parking in Abu Dhabi, categorizing spaces into premium and standard types with different fee structures.
While specific charges for the new areas have yet to be detailed, premium parking typically costs Dh3 per hour for up to four hours, and standard parking costs Dh2 per hour or Dh15 for 24 hours, with free parking on Sundays and public holidays.
