New OFW Lounge at NAIA Terminal 3 offers free amenities for migrant workers

The Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) Lounge at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 is now open, providing OFWs with amenities like charging stations, resting areas, and complimentary food for use before and after their flights.

This initiative aligns with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive to the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) and is a collaborative effort involving the Department of Transportation (DOTr), the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), and the private consortium New NAIA Infrastructure Corp. (NNIC).

The opening ceremony was attended by notable figures including NNIC President Ramon Ang, OFW Partylist Representative Marissa Magsino, DOTr Secretary Jaime Bautista, MIAA General Manager Eric Jose Castro Ines, DMW Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac, OWWA Administrator Arnell Ignacio, and KABAYAN Partylist Representative Ron Salo.

Plans are underway for a similar lounge at NAIA Terminal 2, according to MIAA.
