New officers, new activities: FilHR kicks off next term in the UAE with packed agenda

The Filipino Human Resources Practitioners (FilHR) placed its incoming plans at the center of its 2025 General Assembly, where members from across the UAE convened at the Novotel World Trade Centre Dubai on November 15. The afternoon gathering brought together both long-time affiliates and newly welcomed participants as the group introduced the leadership that will guide its work over the next two years.

Instead of opening with the leadership rollout, organizers first turned attention to the programs ahead by unveiling the 2025–2027 Calendar of Activities. The schedule features capability-building and engagement initiatives, including the Tara, HR Tayo! learning series focusing on talent acquisition, compensation, performance, and people development. Major events were also confirmed, such as the HR Clinic: Future-Ready HR set for October 2026, HR for a Cause in February 2026, the FilHR Sports Fest in January 2027, and the FilHR Kwentuhan Series throughout 2027, which will explore labour laws, workplace trends, and leadership topics.

With the agenda established, FilHR formally introduced the newly elected Board of Directors for 2025–2027. The board is chaired by Felicito Hernandez, joined by members Sheryll Bacay, Jessie Quintilla, Robie Gonzales, and Sheila Enriquez.

The announcement was followed by the presentation of the Executive Committee. The team will be led by President Armilee Sastrillo, Vice President – Strategy Ferdinand Tan, and Vice President – Operations Eunice Biteng. They will be supported by officers responsible for key areas: Mary Ann Andaya for career development, Fritzi Mary Ortega for membership and engagement, Neil Fritz Gonzaga for marketing and communications, Ann Camille Pico for internal and external affairs, and Ma. Louwenn Tantiangco for finance and administration.

As part of the program, members also witnessed the onboarding of new affiliates, signaling the organization’s widening reach within the UAE’s HR sector.
