New initiative for Filipino creatives launched in Dubai

The Philippine Business Council-Dubai & Northern Emirates (PBC-DNE) has announced the establishment of TRIBE, a new group aimed at uniting Filipino creatives, communicators, and content creators in the UAE. The launch took place on Saturday at LEOS International, Business Bay.

Allan Michael Bautista, TRIBE adviser and Vice-Chairman of PBC-DNE, described TRIBE as “a powerhouse within PBC-DNE dedicated to amplifying creative excellence.” He emphasized that the group is more than just a committee; it’s a vibrant community of visionary minds, storytellers, designers, idea generators, and communication experts.

The event was graced by the presence of key figures, including Philippine Consul General Renato Dueñas; PBC-DNE Chairman Edwin Duria; TRIBE adviser and Chairman Emeritus of PBC-DNE, Bobbie Carela; Bethoven Filomeno, Committee Head of TRIBE; Mherck Dela Cruz, Marketing and Social Media Head; Krishna Dela Paz, Social Media and Branding Head; and Melchor Dante Santos, Digital and Data Head of TRIBE.

Carela outlined TRIBE’s role as a talent pool for Filipino professionals in the creative industry in the UAE. Carela revealed that the annual membership fee for TRIBE would be Dh500. This fee includes access to various events and training programs starting in 2024, such as the first Digicom Summit in September and the Nexus 24 talent expo in November.

Furthermore, TRIBE plans to launch an online platform by the first quarter of 2024. This platform will enable members to showcase their work, network with industry peers, and attract potential clients and employers.
