New global movement unites nurses worldwide, founded by Filipino healthcare leader in Australia

Fresh off his ongoing impact as a hospital coordinator in Melbourne, Jaypee Landingin has launched a new initiative aimed at connecting and empowering nurses across borders. On November 8, 2025, he founded Empowering Nurses Across the Globe (ENAG), an international LinkedIn-based community that has grown rapidly, now reaching 280 members and counting from across the globe in less than a month.

The platform is designed to elevate the voice and influence of nurses worldwide while fostering leadership, collaboration, and recognition within the global nursing workforce. “ENAG is not just a community—it is a global movement giving nurses visibility, voice, and value,” Landingin said.

A call for unity, leadership, and recognition

At the heart of ENAG is a mission to break silos among nurses by providing a shared space for professional growth and meaningful interaction. The group’s core pillars—Empower, Uplift, and Recognise—anchor a vision of a unified global nursing community capable of shaping healthcare’s future.

“ENAG exists to empower nurses with confidence, visibility, and leadership opportunities,” Landingin emphasized. “We uplift one another by sharing stories, advocacy, and lived experiences, and we make sure to recognise achievements—whether clinical, academic, humanitarian, or leadership-based.”

With its early momentum, ENAG is rapidly becoming a hub where nurses from all backgrounds are invited to connect, share expertise, and support each other. The platform actively promotes diversity in nursing and encourages members to lead with authenticity, regardless of where they are in their careers. A strong emphasis is placed on amplifying voices from underrepresented regions, ensuring that nurses whose contributions are often overlooked are given a global platform to be seen and heard.

From personal struggle to global impact

Landingin’s creation of ENAG comes after more than a decade of international nursing experience, shaped by both accomplishment and adversity. As someone who once faced doubt from peers due to his non-native background in Australia’s healthcare system, he responded with professionalism and leadership that eventually earned him the respect of his colleagues and recognition for his contributions.

“Great nursing leadership is defined not by where one comes from, but by how one leads,” he said in a previous interview. His own leadership journey—from the Philippines to the UAE and now Australia—inspired the founding of ENAG, a space where no nurse’s voice is dismissed and every contribution is valued.

A growing global footprint with purpose

ENAG’s stated vision is to build a highly visible and empowered nursing community that contributes meaningfully to healthcare leadership, advocacy, research, and education on a global scale. The group aims to celebrate the diversity of nursing, encourage policy influence, and develop culturally sensitive leadership that responds to both local and global health needs.

As the movement continues to expand, Landingin has also revealed that he is preparing to launch a book that will chronicle the story behind the creation of ENAG, offer a detailed explanation of its core values, and explore how the initiative can serve as a sustainable platform for diverse global voices in nursing. The book is expected to highlight the lived experiences of nurses worldwide, particularly those from underrepresented regions whose impact on healthcare is often unseen.

“Nurses must be seen, heard, and recognised globally,” Landingin said. “This community was created to ensure that happens—through connection, mentorship, learning, and advocacy that knows no borders.”

Despite being in its early stages, the initiative is already gaining traction for the clarity of its goals and the urgency of its message. ENAG members are contributing insights, celebrating one another’s milestones, and finding a renewed sense of purpose in global unity.
