Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced on Thursday that a new bridge connecting Zaa’beel Palace Street to a major highway is now complete. The three-lane bridge, which spans 700 meters, links Zaa’beel Palace Street and Oud Metha Road to Al Khail Road, heading towards Abu Dhabi. The bridge is designed to accommodate up to 4,800 vehicles per hour, significantly reducing travel time in the area.
This development is part of the RTA’s broader Dh700-million Al Khail Road improvement project, which was introduced in February. The project includes the construction of five new bridges aimed at alleviating traffic congestion along the highway, ultimately reducing travel time by 30 percent. Additional road enhancements are planned across various locations, including Zabeel, Meydan, Al Quoz 1, Ghadeer Al Tair, and Jumeirah Village Circle.
