The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) has given a glimpse of the upcoming version of the OFW E-Card on its official Facebook page.
In a recent Facebook Live session, OWWA Administrator Arnel Ignacio unveiled what he dubbed as the “OFW E-Card Version 2.0.”
“Coming soon! Stay tuned on the official release of the OWWA E-Card,” OWWA announced.
Launched initially in 2018, the OFW E-Card serves as a membership card offering streamlined access to various government benefits. It enables OFWs to avail themselves of OWWA services such as welfare programs, scholarship applications, training initiatives, and other social benefits.
One of the notable features of the e-card is its convenience in accessing services. With a simple presentation of the card or its digital counterpart, equipped with a QR code for easy verification, OFWs can apply for programs without the hassle of presenting multiple documents.
