Al-Futtaim IKEA has celebrated the grand opening of its newest store in City Centre Fujairah, marking an important milestone in the brand’s expansion and commitment to innovation in the UAE. The store promises to deliver affordable, well-designed, functional, and sustainable products to the community.
“This is not just a store opening; it’s a celebration of our continuous growth and our dedication to serving the diverse communities across the Emirates,” said Vinod Jayan, Managing Director of Al-Futtaim IKEA, at the inauguration event.
The new store is the second of its kind in the UAE, following the successful launch of the small store concept in Al Wahda Mall in 2020. Spread over 2,750 square meters, it offers a comfortable shopping experience with a marketplace that allows customers to take home products immediately. The store features seven room settings that reflect the local lifestyle and culture, with nearly 47% of the 4,000 articles on display being sustainable.
The store is also on track to receive LEED Gold certification from the US Green Building Council, highlighting its eco-friendly design and construction. “We are dedicated to waste reduction and recycling. By incorporating reclaimed construction materials, we have ensured lower energy consumption, significant water savings, and improved air quality throughout the building process,” Jayan added.
In addition to its comprehensive range of home furnishing products, the Fujairah store introduces the city’s first Bistro and Swedish Food Market, offering a sustainable food range, including plant balls and ASC certified salmon. The store also provides various services such as Interior Design Services, Assembly, Delivery, and Kitchen Services to enhance the customer experience.
