Streaming giant Netflix has confirmed the renewal of the live-action series “Avatar: The Last Airbender” for two more seasons, following the massive success of its debut season.
Since its premiere on February 22, the series has quickly become a global sensation, topping charts worldwide. Within just 11 days, the show garnered an impressive 41.1 million views, claiming the number one spot in 76 countries and ranking within the top 10 in 92 countries.
Based on the beloved Nickelodeon animated series that aired from 2005 to 2008, “Avatar: The Last Airbender” follows the journey of Aang and his companions as they strive to bring an end to the Hundred Year War and restore harmony among the four nations.
The cast includes Gorden Cormier as Aang, Kiawentiio as Katara, Ian Ousley as Sokka, and Dallas Liu as Zuko.
