NBI investigates another fingerprint record of ‘Alice Guo’ from 2005

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) announced on Wednesday that it is examining another fingerprint record of an individual named “Alice Guo” from 2005.

“Meron pang isang Alice Guo na kumuha ng clearance in 2005. Remember that yung [alien certificate of registration] niya na naka-file sa amin is 2006. Kumuha si Alice Guo 2021 ng clearance. Merong kumuha ng clearance 2005, Alice Guo din,” said NBI director Jaime Santiago in a GMA Integrated News report.

The findings from this third fingerprint examination are expected to be released later today. “Nakapaglabas na po kami ng dalawang result ng, yung fingerprint ng dalawang impression niya na iisa nga. I have a third fingerprint card na anytime within the day, ilalabas po natin ang resulta,” Santiago added.

Earlier, it was revealed that Alice Guo and Chinese passport holder Guo Hua Ping have identical fingerprints. Senator Risa Hontiveros commented on the NBI’s findings, asserting that they confirm suspicions that the suspended mayor is “a fake Filipino… masquerading as a Filipino citizen to facilitate crimes.”

Guo is currently under Senate investigation for her alleged involvement in the raided POGO hub in Bamban, with evidence suggesting her direct participation in processing documents for its operations. Despite these allegations, Guo has maintained her Filipino identity, claiming she was born to a Chinese father and a Filipino mother.

On Tuesday, Senator Sherwin Gatchalian called on Guo to “expose the main players” behind illegal POGOs in the country.
