The National Basketball Association (NBA) and the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) have revealed the roster of NBA greats who will join this year’s NBA Abu Dhabi Games 2025 presented by ADQ and lead activities at NBA District from October 2 to 5 at Manarat Al Saadiyat.
The event coincides with the preseason matchups between the New York Knicks and the Philadelphia 76ers, scheduled for October 2 and 4 at Etihad Arena on Yas Island.
Among the featured legends is Oscar Robertson, a 12-time All-Star, 1963–64 MVP, 1971 NBA champion, and double Hall of Fame inductee. Also joining are former MVP Derrick Rose, assists leader and broadcaster Mark Jackson, Knicks sharpshooter John Starks, longtime forward Rudy Gay, and 2014 Rookie of the Year Michael Carter-Williams.
“NBA District,” which returns for its fourth year, promises an interactive fan experience blending basketball, culture, and entertainment. Visitors can play on a full-sized NBA court, take photos with the Larry O’Brien Trophy, buy exclusive NBA merchandise, and join panel discussions.
The lineup of performances includes Siilawy, Tul8te, DJ Jack, Stick No Bills, and DJ D-Nice for the Friday Night Concert on October 3 at 8 p.m. GST, while the Sunday Coffee Social on October 5 will feature local act Abu Dhabi House Movement.
