Abu Dhabi’s National Aquarium (TNA) proudly introduces a family of Asian Short-Claw Otters to their newest exhibit, Otters Creek.
The arrival of the world’s smallest otter species marks their much-anticipated debut in the Emirate.
Visitors to the Aquarium are promised an enchanting experience as they observe the otters’ charming appearance and playful demeanor. Known for their social tendencies, these otters are usually found in groups, engaging in endearing interactions and thriving on camaraderie.
To enrich the experience for guests, the National Aquarium has scheduled daily presentations at 2 pm, seven days a week, offering insights into the lives of these fascinating creatures. Further details about the presentation timings will be announced soon, ensuring that all visitors have the opportunity to engage with the otters.
Additionally, the National Aquarium is developing an immersive otter encounter experience, allowing visitors a unique chance to interact closely with these captivating animals.
Paul Hamilton, General Manager of The National Aquarium, expressed his excitement, “We are thrilled to introduce the Asian Short-Claw Otters to our visitors. These otters not only captivate audiences with their uniqueness but also serve as ambassadors for rainforest conservation. We hope their presence will inspire guests to appreciate the significance of safeguarding our planet and their incredible biodiversity.”
Otters Creek is now open to the public, adding to the array of experiences available at TNA. This follows the success of the Jellyfish ‘invasion’ attraction launched earlier this summer, which received rave reviews.
