During the oath-taking ceremony of new members of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) on Wednesday afternoon, May 1, President Marcos expressed confidence in his administration’s accomplishments during its initial years in power.
Addressing the gathering, President Marcos attributed these achievements to a combination of unity and an inclusive approach. He stated, “Now, if you look at it, we have not yet been in office for two years but in that small time, napakarami na nating nagawa, napakarami na nating naumpisahan (we have done a lot, we have started a lot).”
He emphasized the significance of collaboration, stating, “And the reason is that because we have been working together, we have been following the same plan, we have come together, nakipag-ugnayan tayo; ‘Ano bang problema doon sa inyong region, sa iyong probinsya, sa iyong bayan,’ at pinakinggan natin silang lahat hindi lamang yung mga political leader, kung di pati na ang taong bayan, at makinig tayo (we have coordinated; ‘What are the problems in your region, in your province, in your town,’ and we listened to all not only to political leaders but to the people).”
Asserting the importance of collective effort, he underlined that the administration and its partners had worked in unison, yielding positive outcomes. President Marcos urged PFP members to continue fortifying the party, expressing optimism that the populace would rally behind the PFP in the upcoming elections.
The PFP, chaired by President Marcos, was established in 2018 as a national political party in the Philippines. It formed part of the UniTeam Alliance, along with Lakas-CMD, Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP), Partido ng Masang Pilipino (PMP), and guest candidates from other parties, during the 2022 national polls.
