Naia Terminal 1 reopens main arrival curbside to ease passenger pickups

The main arrival curbside at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) Terminal 1 is now accessible to passengers, the New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC) announced on Friday.

This development is part of a broader initiative to improve traffic flow and enhance convenience for travelers. According to NNIC, the reconfigured pickup system simplifies the process for private vehicles, ride-hailing services, and metered taxis while reducing congestion and improving the overall passenger experience.

Arriving passengers can now wait for their rides at the main arrival curbside, eliminating the need to go to the ground floor passenger arrival extension area. Additionally, terminal transfer shuttle buses will operate from the same area, with B1 to B6 outer curbside designated as an extra pickup zone.

To further decongest the main terminal curbside, rent-a-car services, coupon taxis, and metered taxis will be relocated to the ground-level arrival extension area, maintaining easy access to public transportation.

NNIC noted that the changes were soft-launched on Friday, allowing passengers and transport providers time to adjust to the new system.
